Holi in JNU

After a long time I'm writing here again. Yesterday I saw a link in a status message of a friend in GMAIL. The link was pointing towards a blog that was entailing about Holi festival in JNU. you can visit the blog by clicking here. I must recommend everybody who is reading this blog to visit this link. This blog is pictorial presentation of JNU Holi. The blogger has made several sections in the blog to manifest how holi is being celebrated in it's own style in individual hostels and other premises of JNU. Since I was living in Mahi-Mandavi Hostel in JNU so I first went to that section. Mahi mandavi is famous for it's mud holi. Residents of that hostel dig an area outside the hostel and prepare the mud. Now they start throwing each other into that and when they come out of that they are having a thick layer of mud all over their Body. That looks little odd to me but people enjoy that also. If I say truth then I had never been very keen in playing holi until I came to JNU. I used to avoid Holi earlier but after JNU I like it a lot.

I played holi in JNU perhaps two times and I enjoyed it more than any festival in my life. We were so drenched in color that it was pretty hard to identify yourselves leave alone other guys. We used to play until we were out of the energy.  We torn up the clothes of each other and used as much color as possible over each other. Some of us had full dose of Bhang and they were almost out of there senses. One of my friend was having so much of it that he hugged girlfriend of one of my super senior. But that super senior, I donna wanna to tell you guys his name, made my friend to apologize to her girl friend despite of knowing the fact that he wasn't in his control. I personally felt very bad for my batch mate but felt of wave of hatred for my super senior who was in his sense but was bulling for a small reason. Another friend of mine was doing nothing but smiling. He did not care whether the person know him or not he just showed a smile to all of them. But that was really very pretty. One of my friend had to be dragged up the stairs to get him at his room. But overall it was so fun to be there and I'm missing those time in every Holi. I want to get one more chance to celebrate my holi there in JNU.
