Earth Day

On the pre eve of Earth Day, I thought to jot down some words. This day is being celebrated all around the world to show solidarity against the burgeoning concern over global warming.  I was not actually aware about this day is being celebrated even in the world. A few days I received so many mails from my friends about this day being celebrated. Thanks to Internet, I came to know more about this day. You can find out plenty of details about it once you jump into Google power. Well, www.earthday.net would let you know more about this.

Also times of India is also running a campaign starring Aamir Khan to create more and more awareness about this day and to enlighten the people of India about hazardous of global warming. What was have to do on this day is to switch off the lights of your premises on 28th March,2009 form 8:30PM to 9:30PM. In this way we can show our integrity for reducing the menace of global warming on our beloved planet. I was infact fascinated with this initiative and felt pretty excited. I really admire TOI for its innovative campaigns for creating awareness  among the Indian citizen. It had started lead India campaign in past and now it is leading in its another campaign.

We should always take care our actions which can have an impact on global warming. Like, we should always switch off the light or any other electrical appliance that are not in use. We should switch off our computer when we are done with our job. With these tiny but essential steps can help us in leaving our footmarks on road of actions to curb the global warming and give our love to mother planet Earth.

At the end, I urge to every human being in this world to let the people know about importance of our mother's planet life. Our planet has given so much to us and now its time to pay back to her. We should do all possible efforts immaterial of their strength to help Earth. We should always show alacrity for saving our mother.

Holi in JNU

After a long time I'm writing here again. Yesterday I saw a link in a status message of a friend in GMAIL. The link was pointing towards a blog that was entailing about Holi festival in JNU. you can visit the blog by clicking here. I must recommend everybody who is reading this blog to visit this link. This blog is pictorial presentation of JNU Holi. The blogger has made several sections in the blog to manifest how holi is being celebrated in it's own style in individual hostels and other premises of JNU. Since I was living in Mahi-Mandavi Hostel in JNU so I first went to that section. Mahi mandavi is famous for it's mud holi. Residents of that hostel dig an area outside the hostel and prepare the mud. Now they start throwing each other into that and when they come out of that they are having a thick layer of mud all over their Body. That looks little odd to me but people enjoy that also. If I say truth then I had never been very keen in playing holi until I came to JNU. I used to avoid Holi earlier but after JNU I like it a lot.

I played holi in JNU perhaps two times and I enjoyed it more than any festival in my life. We were so drenched in color that it was pretty hard to identify yourselves leave alone other guys. We used to play until we were out of the energy.  We torn up the clothes of each other and used as much color as possible over each other. Some of us had full dose of Bhang and they were almost out of there senses. One of my friend was having so much of it that he hugged girlfriend of one of my super senior. But that super senior, I donna wanna to tell you guys his name, made my friend to apologize to her girl friend despite of knowing the fact that he wasn't in his control. I personally felt very bad for my batch mate but felt of wave of hatred for my super senior who was in his sense but was bulling for a small reason. Another friend of mine was doing nothing but smiling. He did not care whether the person know him or not he just showed a smile to all of them. But that was really very pretty. One of my friend had to be dragged up the stairs to get him at his room. But overall it was so fun to be there and I'm missing those time in every Holi. I want to get one more chance to celebrate my holi there in JNU.

My Friend's Wedding

I'm right now, if not making any mistake then, 26 years old and I can add some more some more months also but that are obviously irrelevant. One is supposed to trim the number when one is telling one's age to someone else. Well, this blog is not about telling my date of birth etc but I have a point to mention my age here. The point is that this the first time I was attending a friend's marriage in my life. It does not mean that I have never got a chance or invitation to attend the marriage of my friend. I had my chances and invitations at the time when I was doing my 10+2 from my hometown college and when I was in 8th standard in my school. I used to live in rural area at that time and it was a common practice to get your offspring's married as soon as they looked like matured. It was not exactly a child marriage since the time they used to get married they did not look like a child from any angle but according to constitution of India any marriage which involve a boy having age less than 21 or a girl having a age less than 18 should be treated as child marriage. I'm not sure which article does entail about this but I'm pretty sure there is some article that manifest this definition.

My mother never allowed me to attend those marriages because she did not have a fig a trust over my friends of those time and she was in impression that I could be swayed upon by my vagrant friends. I used to get upset by her strict instructions not to attend the marriages but now I believe that she was true. So this is how I got a chance to attend my first friends marriage at the age of 26 when I,myself, is supposed to get married.

So, let's start from here but first I need to mention about the details of marriage like where it was happening and what was the date and more importantly who were the groom and bride. The marriage was on 11th of February,2009 and it was happening in Kanpur that was native place of both bride and groom. I was in little dilemma whether to use their's name here or not but this blog is about my experience so I decided to keep them without a name and hereafter they would be referred as Mr.Groom and Miss Bride or Misses Groom whatever you prefer to stick with. But I would like to call her Miss Bride as it shows her individuality and I have high regard for women and their individuality.

The itinerary plan was like that I had to catch a train from Varanasi (where I live) at 5 AM in the morning and it was supposed to get me to Kanpur at 11:40 AM and the next day I had to catch the same train from Kanpur at 5 PM and it was supposed to reach Varanasi at 11:40 PM or 12:15 AM. So it was whole two days plan. I forgot to tell you the name of train because this blog might server as source of information for those who have similar future itinerary plans. The name of the train was ChauriChaura Express and if you have ever studied history then you can remember this name. Lets not get into the details of this trains name because that would for sure expose my little knowledge about history.

So I caught the train at right time and it left the Varanasi sharp at 5 AM in the morning. Usually this punctuality is not a characteristic  features of Indian railways. I was surprised but the same time was happy that finally they learnt the meaning of punctuality. Train started and soon it accelerated in a nice way and that made me to think that I was going to make it at right time. Since I had to get up at 2 AM to catch the train, therefore I fell to sleep as soon as I boarded on the train. I dreamt that when I would open my eyes I would not be far away from Kanpur and when I opened my eyes I came to know that I was still at Allahabad station. I thought it must be 8 'O' Clock in the morning but when I gazed upon my watch then I realised that train was almost two and half hours late. I cursed my self and said to my self How the hell did you forget that you were traveling with the Indian railways and in very rare of rarest  you would see the punctuality of this department and this was not among those rare of rarest situation. There is common belief that if your train is late then it is made to be more late during the travel to it's destination and exactly same happened with me. The train further got delayed in reaching to Kanpur and my well wishers just kept on going to call me to know my whereabouts. After a long fighting with eternity, the train reached to Kanpur station somewhere around 2:30 or 2:45 afternoon. It took almost 10 hours to cover a distance of 320 km's by this express train. What an irony on name of express train. I wasn't fatigued because I had a luxury of AC coach and that coach was almost empty. So I could say that even if it was a very long and boring journey but it was a comfortable one that's for sure. So here I put my feet at Kanpur central Station.

You knows what I kind of little repulsive towards Kanpur. I don't know why but this is what it is. So when I gazed around I found Kanpur station exactly same as I supposed it to be. It was creepy place and very dirty. It was stinking because of urine and lumps of shit all across the station. I just felt as if somehow I got disappeared from here magically but I was living in real words not in imaginary one so this for sure could not happen. Well, after a little wait my friend came to station and picked up from me there and we headed for friend's home. The road of Kanpur were pathetic and they were full of potholes. I did not find any single road while my way to his house that could be seen as road of so called good city. There was no one who followed traffic rules. Everybody was driving his/her vehicle as they wanted to.  Somehow after a loads of jerks, We reached to friend's house. Thanks to god it was not far away from station otherwise the roads would have surely made a heck out of me. But all that pain and trouble of journey came to an end when I met with others friend their who reached there in the morning. It is so nice feeling if you meet with your friends after a long time. We embraced each other and had a very long chat where we drilled down to any subject that hit to our mind. We had a loads of fun and with end of each statement we rolled down in laughter. It was so pleasant to be with friends and I'm surely going to treasure all those moments. They say right friendship is the only relationship that we choose by ourselves. Nobody impose on oneself this relationship. After a loads of chit-chat, it was time prepare ourselves for Barat. Barat left for the destination somewhere around 6 in the evening. Mr. Groom was looking nice in his nice wardrobe and obviously was smiling so much.

We reached to lawn where all the arrangements were made after half of an hour. My group that includes Pushkar, Pathak, Sachin and Ranjit took a round of lawn. We left the Mr. Groom to his own and he was preparing for JaiMaal. Mr. Groom put on sherwanni for this occasion and he was looking great. We got our pictures shoot with Mr. Groom and he was all set for Barat. There were very few people in the Barat and it was only half of an hour affair. Pushkar looked like he was highly drunk and was pushing other friend's for dancing among the little gathering. I tried to check on him but he was for a while out of control because of effect of Whiskey and bear. Everybody was dancing like a mad guy. I know everybody in India  knows how the people dances in Wedding Barat. There is no specific style of dancing except one which is called Nagin Dance ( The dance performed by pair of snakes and it is controlled by snake charmers). The Barati (who are part of Barat) dances as they want to dance. They just keep on shaking there body and wave their hands like a crazy guy. This exactly happened at that marriage also. After a while we reached to lawn again and headed for place where JaiMaal was supposed to happen. That place was exactly a tented hall and there was a central dais where there were two wonderful chairs one for Mr.Groom and one for Miss Bride. After a little ritual Mr. Groom parked his ass on one of chair. Sorry Mr. Groom for little dirty language but I was just little out of patient using good language. I hope you would continue to be same as you had been before reading this blog. He was smiling and was only smiling. The reason was very simple he was surrounded by plenty of beautiful girls. This is the first time he would have been in center of attraction of so many beautiful girls. He was ecstatic and could not help himself by showing it through his little awkward smile. A DJ was running on side of dais and We all friends jumped on the floor and rock the floor with latest bollywood tracks. We later found that there were quite a eyes who were appreciating our dancing skills and that really helped us to dance more heartily. We danced until we were out of energy. We parked our asses on chairs and waited for other proceedings. Then suddenly Miss Bride or Our respected Bhabhijee arrived there and sat next to Mr.Groom. I must say Bhabhijee was looking very beautiful and both of them were looking very pretty. The were made for each other. They exchanged garland to each other and we all gathered around for a picture perfect. We went for diner and I would must say here that arrangement was fabulous. You could find every popular Indian cuisine besides the Chinese cuisine. We had Chat, Bhelpuri, Ice-Creems, Fruit Chat apart from usual famous north Indian Cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and had rounds of it. My other friends departed soon after as they had to catch a train for Delhi. I left alone and was little disappointed as the company of them was great but I decided that I would attend the whole marriage ceremony and much of your surprise it was going to be first time I was attending the whole marriage ceremony that means I had made up my mind that I would sit down at every events and would watch it closely. We also celebrated the Birth Day of Mr.Groom and cut a cake and distributed among the people around there. We had a little rest after that took a little nap. We felt refreshed and were all set for big occasion and that was the final marriage ritual. Mr. Groom had put a new dress and again he was looking perfect. We headed for a hall where the marriage had to be performed. It was a long event and I was feeling like I could not stand anymore for this event. I left the place and again fell to bed for a good dream. When I woke up then I found that Mr.Groom was done with the event and we were ready for Vidai. We left the place somewhere around 10 AM and I left for my home at 5 PM and boarded on the same train. The train had shown its characteristic features and I reached to home around 2:30 AM. I was fatigued and started snoring as soon as I jumped to bed.

So this is how I had attended the my first friend's wedding and I enjoyed it. Thanks for reading all these crap with such a appreciating patience.

Power of Blogging

I was wondering for a moment that who had discovered or better to say who had out the idea of blogging. I tried to google it but was not able to figure it out who that great man was but I won't stop here and for sure one day I would figure it out. What a perfect medium it is to share what you think about anything and that anything could be connected to any space of your life. The blogging has given a new dimension to your thoughts and sharing it to all across the world. It is so amazing to know that your opinions might be boggling into someone else minds and that someone is far away from you.

I,myself, do not know that who in some part of world might get some curiosity in reading my blog and sharing his comments over my thought. A few years back diary was the only medium for a common being to pen down his or her thoughts but diary was more about keeping one's opinion to confined with oneself only. There are still lot of human beings are around us who want to keep themselves little restricted and feel shy or may be because of some other reason do not want to share their thoughts. I personally do not have any qualm for them but I feel somehow that we should share our thoughts, ideas and whatever that is spontaneous to us with the world. I have strong belief that in this way we are getting more closer to rest of the world.

Through the blog we come across other people thoughts and ideas. We bring changes in ourselves by seeing the veracity of blogs and by appreciating the blog. Blogging is no more a personal-opinion-sharing platform but it has evolved itself in every knowledge domain of human life.

I thank to person who has discovered the blogging and I wish this blogging evolved itself from strength to strength.

My experience with corruption ( I was the Victim)

I still remember that small incident that happened to me long before when I was doing my 10+2 from my local country college and I wanted to appear for an engineering college entrance test. First I had to file an application and it was mentioned in the bulletin of college that  our photo must be attested by some government officer. For this purpose to get my photo attested, I went to officer in Block division of my Town. I straight away asked that officer kindly attest my photo because I had to do it for acceptance of this form. I assumed he should not have any problem for this because I was not committing any forgery as the photo was mine only and I too did not have any twin brother. But here I came to know about menace that has now broken out in our modern Society like a fire in Jungle. And that we call as corruption a business that has prime concern only with bribe and that runs only in one doctrine and that is give and take.

That bloody officer (son of a bitch) asked for 10 rupees to me for attesting my own photo before me. I was surprised and asked to myself what the hell he was thinking about my photo. Was it some kind of bloody joke? I asked him what the fuck was wrong with my photo? He told me that there was nothing wrong with your photo and even he was agreed to attest it without my bloody presence their. He explained me that you had to shell out some bucks for this job as nothing was free in this world and everything had its cost.

I again came across with corruption term when we had our judgement day for a dispute over one of my property. Everything was in our favor and We tried our best to prove that the land belongs to us. We had also sufficient evidence to support our claim. The Judge was agreed to this point and we thought that He was more or less convinced with our stand and We had been almost convinced not by our lawyer only but by all other things that might had some connection with our case that we were going to win this case against the opposition party. But the only difference between our family and that to opposite party was money. He had enough of it and we had less of it. Even then we believed that the justice would prevailed. But here again corruption played a role that changed our lives drastically. opposition party flexed it's money muscles and had offered somewhere around  3 lakhs sum of rupees to turn the decision. Mr Judge had accepted his proposal and strangulate the goddess of Justice. We lost our battle and also lost our land. We had nothing to say at that time and the hammer of corruption had broken into pieces our belief in justice.

From that onwards I realized that there was nothing that money can not do. The money power can change everything and If you have the money muscles then you could rule over anybody. You are the master of the world and that is what USA is doing. If I would epitomize my overall experience then I would say I'm very much depressed with the practice of bribe and their is no hope left for poor people who does not have anything but to trust on moral presentation of our Society and that is nothing else but pure illusion.

Enough is enough

Now it is high time to take some strong measurements to curb the menace of terrorism. If our political leaders can not take action this time then for sure they are not going to do it in future in case if unfortunately this horrible event again take place.Common man has dragged himself down to road and demanding for solution of Pakistan sponsored Terrorism. They are unable to control their anguish against the trauma they are going through. We can see the anger that mumbai has shown against the politician. They are so much disappointed with the way the politicans have addressed this sensitive issue. Our government is spending thousands of crore for providing securities to netas but sincerely doing nothing to assure security for people of India. Today situation has got so much deteriorated that if you are out of your home then you don't know which bomb would blow you in smithereens. But now after attack on five star hotel in Mumbai even you own home is no more a safe place for you. People of India are saying it correctly that Enough is Enough. They can not see them living in a condition where their is reign of terror and continuous threat to life. They are not going to quench themselves only by some promises by our politician. We should salute the Indian Army, NSG commandos, Navy commandos, ATS and Mumbai Police for their fight against the pighead terrorists who did not have any purpose to life other than killing innocent people. They have laid their lives for country and did their best to ensure terrorists would meet to their death.

It's terrorism again

Another heinous and coward attempt by terrorist to shake the business city of India. Mumbai is on war for last 24 hours and the fight against the enemy of humanity is going on. This time terrorists have adopted a new method to put the common people's life in more danger. They have kept hostages in two grand hotels of Mumbai (The Taj and trident) along with Nariman house located at nariman point. The rescue operation is in progress and a significant number of people has been safely evacuated and NSG commandos are taking final move to get those pigheads down to the ground. I have firm faith in security forces of my country and I do believe that sooner or later they would kill all the terrorist involved in the heinous act. But a question arises here and that demands an explanation from our politicians that the common people has become so helpless that anyone can deprive them for their right of living a normal life. Can they answer why we have reached to this condition where we become an easy pray for terrorist and they(terrorist) are doing what they want to do. The time has come when we people of India seriously start thinking about our own protection and force government to do something more concrete to combat this menace of humanity.
